2021 Petit Le Mans Qualifying Report

Filipe Albuquerque and the No. 10 Konica Minolta Acura ARX-05 team qualified seventh for the 2021 Motul Petit Le Mans with a lap time of 1:09.328. The No. 10 Konica Minolta Acura ARX-05 team remains on top of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with a total of 3,095 points, leading the DPi field by a margin of 8 points over their closest rival.

Full time teammate Ricky Taylor and endurance driver Alexander Rossi will join Albuquerque in the cockpit for the 10-hour endurance race around Road Atlanta’s 12-turn, 2.54-mile purpose-built road course. The drivers will look to move through the field and finish ahead of their championship rivals to secure the title.

“Last qualifying of the year and I felt quite confident in the car to throw everything I had at it,” said Filipe Albuquerque. “Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough. Obviously, we have something going on this weekend that is atypical for us. We seem to be missing something on the car that is not enabling us to run close to the other Acura car. Right now, we’re just hoping that we can solve this thing and that we find it before the race is over. 10 hours is a long race. We’re holding on and we never give up.”

Green flag for Motul Petit Le Mans will wave at 12:10 p.m. ET tomorrow, November 13 with live coverage on NBC.
